Lighthouse Lane

Childhood memories of idyllic Carolina summers at the lighthouse with his grandfather entice Ryan Matthews to return to the small coastal town of Port Morgan. Reconnecting with his roots gives this New York City photojournalist hope of filling the void in his life since his divorce.

Kate Conrad, a local history junkie,  has become a strong, independent woman out of necessity.  After her husband’s tragic death, she opened a shop in Port Morgan while raising a son on her own.

When Kate discovers Colin Matthews’ journal in a box of old books, she gives it to Ryan.  The journal reveals secrets in his family history.  Colin, a simple lighthouse keeper, could never have guessed how his private journal would impact his adult grandson decades later.  Colin’s mistakes and later redemption lead Ryan to rethink everything he thought he knew about life and himself.   

This town.  This woman.  This journal.  They all challenge Ryan.  Can he forgive both himself and his ex-wife?  Can he find value in connecting to a community, to new friends, and to a woman he could love? And can he find a way to make a difference in Kate’s battle against the rich developer who wants her out of business?
